Jagan Or CBN: How Do The Voters Choose?
by Venkat · greatandhra.comChandrababu Naidu or Jagan Mohan Reddy? Which way will the voters lean? This is the perennial question in any election.
Chandrababu Naidu and his associates are pursuing a three-pronged strategy to unseat Jagan. First, they are attempting to provoke Jagan's sister and cousin to portray him as a criminal. Second, they are highlighting the alleged lack of development in the state. And third, they are asserting that they will not halt the implementation of policies and schemes initiated by Jagan.
The first prong of their strategy aims to engage the crowd but has shown little impact. While it may influence to some extent in Kadapa and its vicinity, its overall impact is negligible. This subject may be useful for sensationalist reporting in certain media outlets but holds little significance beyond that.
The second strategy revolves around promoting the notion of insufficient development. However, local residents are well aware of the actual progress in their areas. They are familiar with the condition of schools, hospitals, 24-hour medical facilities, and local industries. Consequently, this campaign primarily resonates with armchair discussions among Telugu individuals residing outside the state. Actual voting decisions are based on the realities known to the voters.
The remaining focus is on welfare schemes. Chandrababu is already highlighting the schemes he pledges to implement. He assures to continue Jagan Mohan Reddy's existing schemes and promises to introduce new ones. Trust is paramount here.
The discussion surrounding Jagan's accomplishments over the past five years largely hinges on the trust of the people. They have faith that Jagan will fulfill the promises he makes.
Only a certain percentage of the population believes in Chandrababu's assurances. Despite Chandrababu's previous lengthy tenure as CM, he has not garnered the same level of trust from the people as Jagan. Jagan holds the upper hand in this regard.
Now, the Andhra elections pivot on a single question: whether voters have more confidence in Jagan's administration or in Chandrababu's promises.
The victory and defeat of the parties in Andhra hinge on this crucial factor.
