UFC 300 cold open video

The UFC got quite a bit of grief for the poster advertising UFC 300, but the company has come in hot in the home stretch of its latest – and perhaps most important – promotional cycle.

UFC 300’s cold open brings the past into the future as fighters reflect on what makes the promotion and the sport so special. Kicking the pay-per-view event into high gear is a re-imagined version of the Phil Collins classic, “In The Air Tonight.”

Regular voice-over talent Ron Perlman sets the stage for Saturday’s tricentennial event, which features 12 current or former champions in arguably the most stacked fight card in UFC history.

UFC 300 is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between current champ Alex Pereira and ex-champ Jamahal Hill. The co-main event features strawweight champ Zhang Weili defending her title against countrywoman Yan Xiaonan, and a “BMF” title fight between champ Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway.
