Highlights! Renato Moicano scores wild comeback submission after Jalin Turner botches walk-off KO | UFC 300

by · MMAmania.com

Renato Moicano pulled off an impressive comeback finish earlier tonight (Sat., April 13, 2024) at UFC 300 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping fellow lightweight Jalin Turner with a second-round TKO (punches).

UFC 300 hit a bit of a lull after the first finish of the night, but Moicano set that straight in the early “Prelims” headliner. He looked good in the early going with a nice takedown and about two minutes of top time, but Turner flipped the script when he got back to his feet and connected on a left hand that sent Moicano crashing to the canvas. Instead of following up to ensure the finish, Turner tried to walk off. Maybe he was trying to earn a flashier finish to cash in on a $300,000 bonus, but it would cost him.

Moicano recovered and went back to the grappling well in the second frame. This time around, Turner wasn’t able to get up. Moicano kept postering and landing heavy elbows and punches. They started to get through and he eventually did enough damage to force the referee’s hand. It was a great comeback performance by “Money” and an important lesson for Turner, who let victory slip through his hands on the biggest night of his career.
