Ant was left with a nasty cut to his face after a live incident
by Simon Duke, Kieran Isgin · Manchester Evening NewsAnt McPartlin, of Saturday Night Takeaway fame, was left 'bleeding' after an on-air incident with Stephen Mulhern during the show's finale.
The hit ITV show, which has been running for 21 years, saw a star-studded cast descend on London's Television Centre for an extended edition of Takeaway. The line-up included last Star Guest Announcers Girls Aloud, guest hosts Jordan North, Josie Gibson and Scarlett Moffatt, Little Ant and Dec, and returning stars Ashley Roberts and Kirsty Gallacher.
Both Ashley and Kirsty participated in what could be the final Ant vs Dec challenge, where the best mates competed in a football shoot out, attempting to score past former Man United and West Brom keeper Ben Foster. Dec took an early 2-0 lead, but Ant managed to score his first goal as Ben defended a series of spot kicks.

In the end, it was Dec who claimed the ultimate Saturday Night Takeaway bragging rights and a place on the winner's podium, receiving a BAFTA-style trophy to commemorate his victory. As Dec celebrated, Ant appeared to glare menacingly at Stephen, before pouncing on him and pushing him to the floor, leading into an ad break, reports Chronicle Live.
However, upon reverting back to the studio setting, Ant and Dec swapped their football kits for tuxedos. Ant was noticed clutching a tissue against his face.
Making light of the situation, Ant informed Dec: "I cut my face jumping on Stephen Mulhern! I've got a Stephen Mulhern related injury," before he joked: "Where there's a blame, there's a claim! ".
