by Ayaan Ali · The MirrorPresenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are preparing to say goodbye to Saturday Night Takeaway after more than two decades on the air.
The Geordie duo, both 48, made the decision to rest their award-winning ITV1 variety show to "spend some time" with their families.
The final episode of the popular series is set to air on Saturday evening and feature celebrity guests like Simon Cowell, Davina McCall, Rylan Clark, Oti Mabuse, Amanda Holden, Dermot O'Leary, Craig David and Alison Hammond on its billing, whilst pop group Girls Aloud will appear as guest announcers.
Ant and Dec launched their joint TV career playing best pals PJ and Duncan on Byker Grove in the 1990s and have gone on to front some of the nation's biggest and best-loved shows including Britain's Got Talent, SMTV Live, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Limitless Win. Now, as they prepare to close one chapter of their TV textbook, we take a look at their lives outside of the studio.
Ant McPartlin lives with his second wife Anne-Marie, whom he married in 2021. They share an impressive mansion located in London's Wimbledon Village. While co-star Declan resides in Chiswick, West London with his talent manager wife Ali Astall, and their two chidlren.
Ant, 48, reportedly splashed out £6million on his seven-bedroom mansion and has previously given fans a glimpse inside his luxury adobe on his Instagram page.
The TV star opted for a splash of colour with his dark blue sofa to match his living room walls with the same colour. On one side of the room, he has shelves where he placed his most treasured accolades.
He has painted his dining room a neutral tone with cream wallpaper and matching chairs that contrast with a black dining table and placed a framed print of a Labrador that looks just like his beloved pet dog Hurley, who he shares with his ex Lisa, on his wall.
Meanwhile, co-star Dec has left his followers impressed by his modern home, in particular, his spacious living room which features stunning white sofas, adorned with colourful cushions and a huge mirror. His dining room is beautifully decorated with a large silver table and blinds for his windows.
Previously the 'Britain's Got Talent' hosts admitted there will be "tears" once the show has wrapped, and that it has been "quite hard" in the final days before broadcast.
Ant said: "I'm sure there will be tears. It's been quite hard this week knowing it's the final week in rehearsals and script meetings and everything. We've kind of kept a lid on it until now. Until we got here and saw the stage, we thought, oh, it seems quite final."
Dec added: "When we first came to the decision to rest it - and we did it because 20 series feels like a good time to do it - we told our management first. We said 'We want to rest it but we reserve the right between now and then to change our minds several times. And we have. But I think we know in our heart of hearts it's the right thing to do."
Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway airs on Saturday (April, 13) on ITV1 at 7pm.
