Climate activist Disha Ravi edited 'toolkit', shared it with Greta Thunberg: Delhi police

Delhi Police said that it took cognisance of a Toolkit document found on social media, which indicated a conspiracy behind violence on January 26.

The Delhi police arrested a 21-year-old climate activist from Bengaluru yesterday (February 14) for her alleged role in the 'toolkit' that they claim led to violence in Delhi on January 26. The police detained Disha Ravi from the Soladevanahalli area and alleged that she was a key conspirator in the formulation and distribution of the said document.

The police claimed that Ravi collaborated to draft the controversial document and shared it with Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.

"They all collaborated with pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian state. She was the one who shared the Toolkit doc with Greta Thunberg," said a senior Delhi police officer.

Allegations against Disha Ravi

The Delhi police said that Disha Ravi shared the now controversial Toolkit document with Greta Thunberg. The Delhi police defined the 'toolkit' as a document used by activists for sharing campaign-related information.

In its statement, the Delhi Police alleged that Disha Ravi asked Greta Thunberg to remove the Toolkit document after it created controversy among certain sections after being shared in the public domain. "This is many times more than the 2 lines editing that she claims," said the police

The Delhi police claimed that Disha Ravi and certain other people collaborated with the members of the Poetic Justice Foundation "to spread disaffection" against the country.

In a tweet, the Delhi Police said that it took cognisance of a Toolkit document found on social media, which indicated a conspiracy behind the violence witnessed on January 26.

"A criminal case against the creators of the 'Toolkit document' has been registered; investigation has been taken up," said the police, in another tweet.

Disha Ravi is a graduate of the Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru and she is known in the activist circles as a young voice raising awareness about the environmental issues in India. She has written columns and articles in news portals on climate change. She is a co-founder of Fridays For Future India.
