T20 World Cup 2021: Mohan Singh, The Abu Dhabi Chief Curator, Passed Away On Sunday Ahead Of Afghanistan vs New Zealand Match

Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi’s chief curator, Mohan Singh, passed away on Sunday ahead of the Super 12 fixture between Afghanistan and New Zealand.

Mohan is from Mohali in Punjab and worked in the UAE as a curator for the Abu Dhabi stadium. Sources stated that he was found dead in his room ahead of the all-important clash.

The cause of death hasn’t been revealed as of yet, but the local police have opened an investigation. Certain reports also revealed that Mohan allegedly committed suicide.

Mohan was in his mid-40s and had moved to Abu Dhabi back in September 2004 after completing a training course in India at the Punjab Cricket Stadium in Mohali. He had been working there since 1994 as a ground supervisor before moving on to assist coaches.
