India will play Namibia in the final league stage match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Monday, November 8, at 7:30 PM (IST). 

After losing to Pakistan and New Zealand first up, India registered big wins against Afghanistan and Scotland to come back strong in the tournament. However, following Afghanistan's defeat to New Zealand on Sunday, India are now out of the race to make the semi-finals with the Kiwis qualifying along with Pakistan from Group 2. 

India have two wins and as many defeats from four games. They put up a phenomenal all-round display in the last match against Scotland. Bowling first, India bundled Scotland out for a paltry 85. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja were the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah picked two wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin claimed one as well. 

India had to scale down the target in 7.1 overs to overtake Afghanistan's net run-rate. Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were up to the task. Rahul slammed a 19-ball 50 as he went all guns blazing, while Rohit contributed with a 16-ball 30. They made light-work of the chase, getting past the line in just 6.3 overs with eight wickets to spare. 

On the other hand, Namibia have managed to win only one out of their four games in the Super12 stage. They are coming on the back of a 52-run defeat to New Zealand. The Kiwis set them a target of 164. In pursuit, Namibia could only get to 111/7 from their 20 overs, no where even close to the target in the end. Stephan Baard, Michael van Lingen and Zane Green got starts but it was never going to be enough. 

Namibia reached the Super12s in their maiden T20 World Cup appearance and can be proud of their effort irrespective of the further results. 

As Virat Kohli is set to play his final T20I match as captain of the side, India will look to make it three wins in a row and sign off from the tournament on a positive note.
