Pakistan will be playing their fifth match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday. They have had a dream run in the tournament so far. Babar Azam and Co. have managed to win all four matches played in the tournament so far and would be looking to earn its fifth consecutive win on Sunday.

Pakistan played their first match in the tournament against India on 24th October 2021. They registered a 10-wicket victory over their arch-rivals.

A confident Pakistan team then beat the likes of New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Namibia to assure themselves of a spot in the semi-finals. Babar Azam and M Rizwan have led the way with the bat. The duo put on yet another solid partnership to set the foundation for a big score in the last game against Namibia.

Babar Azam and M Rizwan added 113 runs for the opening wicket in 14 overs. Babar Azam got out after scoring 70 off 49 deliveries but Mohammad Rizwan stayed unbeaten on 79 off 50 deliveries. M Hafeez also made a significant contribution of 32 off 16 deliveries, helping Pakistan notch a mammoth 189-run total in the first innings.

Namibia, in reply were restricted to 144 runs in the second innings, thanks to a collective bowling effort from the Pakistani bowlers.

Facing them are Scotland, who have endured a horrendous outing in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Scotland began their campaign emphatically. They won all three matches in the first round of the tournament and finished the round at number one position. However, they failed to replicate similar performances in the Super 12 round of the competition.

Scotland lost all fours games played in the Super 12 round. They will be playing their fifth game on Sunday against Pakistan. Scotland received severe thrashing from India in their last game.

A clinical bowling display from the Indian bowlers led to them getting bowled out for just 85 runs in the first innings. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma then hammered Scotland bowlers to all parts of the ground and helped India chase down the score in just 6.3 overs. Scotland would look to forget the memories of that defeat and come out with a fresh mindset.
