Pakistan lock horns with Scotland in the 41st match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday. Pakistan have been outstanding in the tournament. They have not lost a single game in the tournament and therefore sitting at the top of the points table in Group 2.

Pakistan began their campaign with a 10-wicket win over India and followed it with three successive victories against New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Namibia. They registered a 45-run win over Namibia in their last game. Skipper Babar Azam and M Rizwan made a steady start in the powerplay.

It was difficult to bat in the first half of the innings and the openers respected the conditions. However, the second half of the innings saw both of them ripping apart Namibia’s bowling attack.

The duo stitched a 113-run partnership for the opening wicket before Babar Azam lost his wicket in the 15th over. Babar Azam scored 70 off 49 deliveries, while M Rizwan went on to score 79 off 50 deliveries. M Hafeez’ (16-ball 32) flourish at the fag end of the innings meant Pakistan finished their innings at 189 for 2.

For Namibia, Craig Williams (40 off 37) and David Wiese (43 off 31) made valuable contributions but that was never going to be enough. They eventually fell 45 runs short of the target.

All the bowlers such as Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Haris Rauf and Shabad Khan picked a wicket each.

On the other hand, Scotland have endured a disappointing performance in the Super 12 stage. They have played four games and lost all four of them. Scotland received a severe thrashing from India in their last game.

A clinical bowling display from the Indian bowlers led to Scotland getting bowled out for just 85 runs in the first innings. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma then hammered Scotland bowlers to all parts of the ground and helped India chase down the score in just 6.3 overs.

Scotland will be playing their last game in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday. They would be hoping to finish the tournament with a win.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium will play host to the 41st match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday. The pitch is expected to be on the slower side, making it difficult for the batsmen to play their shots.

The pacers need to bowl more cutters and hit the hard lengths to fetch wickets on this surface. Besides, there will be some help for the spinners as well. Both teams should look to bowl first upon winning the toss. Anything between 140 and 150 is a par score here.
