Pakistan have been nothing short of outstanding in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They have won all four games played so far and thus are sitting at the top of the points table in Group 2.

Openers: Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam

Pakistan’s openers, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have done the bulk of scoring for the team. Both have scored runs consistently in the tournament. The duo stitched a 113-run partnership for the opening wicket in the last game against Namibia. Babar Azam scored 70 off 49 balls, while M Rizwan stayed unbeaten on 79 off 50 deliveries.

Middle-Order: Fakhar Zaman, M Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali and

It’s unlikely that we see a change in Pakistan’s middle-order. All are amongst the runs and integral to Pakistan’s fortunes ahead in the tournament.

Fakhar Zaman played a valuable knock against Afghanistan. M Hafeez played a solid 16-ball 32-run cameo in the last game against Namibia. Asif Ali has been one of the biggest reasons behind Pakistan’s win against Afghanistan and New Zealand. His two knocks will certainly be remembered for long.

All-rounders: Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim

Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim haven’t got much opportunity to bat but they have been pretty effective with the ball. Both have been pretty accurate with their lengths. The duo has picked seven wickets combined. Despite bowling most of his overs in the powerplay, Imad Wasim has conceded runs at less than 6 runs an over. Shabad Khan too has conceded runs at less than 7 runs an over.

Bowlers: Harif Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi

Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been impressive in the tournament. The duo has been bowling well since the start of the tournament. Both have picked 4 wickets each in the tournament, giving away less than 7 runs an over.

Hasan Ali’s form is a concern. He bowled well in the last game and that should give him some confidence. Ali conceded 22 runs for 1 wicket in 4 overs.
