What State Farm Has Reportedly Said About Aaron Rodgers

by · The Spun

Aaron Rodgers has already lost one notable endorsement amid his vaccination controversy this week. Could more be on the way?

The Green Bay Packers’ most-notable endorsement is with State Farm. Rodgers has been a longtime endorser of the insurance company, appearing on several national commercial campaigns over the years.

Given what’s transpired with Rodgers this week, many have wondered if State Farm will cut ties with Rodgers moving forward.

It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen – yet, anyway.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on Aaron’s vaccination status,” a State Farm spokesperson told AdAge. “This weekend our marketing focuses on the success of our first-ever Team State Farm Football Find and the unveiling of a new commercial with NFL legend Terry Bradshaw.”

AdAge had more details on the situation:

Earlier this week, State Farm unveiled a virtual treasure hunt for consumers to use their phones to find virtual footballs for prizes, as it seeks to court younger customers via their digital interests. One of the rewards was a real football signed by Rodgers.

As of Friday morning, State Farm ads featuring Rodgers were still running, according to iSpot tracking. One on air depicts him as a host for a game show touting the marketer’s low insurance rates.

Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and Packers was supposed to pit State Farm’s quarterbacks against each other. Patrick Mahomes is also a major endorser of the company.

Instead, we’ll get Mahomes against Jordan Love.
