Britney Spears’ Former Louisiana Home She Lived In As A Little Girl Finally Sells And On The Day Of Framing Britney Spears Release

by · Celebrity Insider

Britney Spears‘ old home in Louisana has officially gone up for sale, a new report from the New York Post revealed this week. Fans of the pop star know that Spears grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana, in a small, 3-bedroom home.

A report from Redfin says the house had gone up for sale just a few years ago and then finally sold for $275,000 after a small decrease in the price of about $14,000. Interestingly, it’s the same home that was featured in the 1999 Rolling Stone article, “Inside the Heart and Mind (And Bedroom) of Britney.”

Steven Daly wrote in his report that Britney would often sleep in her mother’s bed when she was at home because she was worried about fans who were stalking her. Reportedly, Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, was the one to sell the home when he put it up for $289,000 in June of 2020.

Another interesting tidbit about the home is that it was sold to an anonymous buyer at the very same time that the New York Times released their documentary, Framing Britney Spears, on FX and Hulu. These days, Britney is living in a $7.4 million mansion.

Britney Spears has been in the headlines a lot more over the last few weeks on account of the aforementioned documentary about her life, Framing Britney Spears.

In fact, Justin Timberlake came forward to apologize today for his role in the Janet Jackson 2004 Super Bowl halftime show performance, and also for the way he treated Britney when they dated many years ago.

Reportedly, Justin could be heard saying on a radio show that he was told by his management team that it would be best to make it appear as though Britney had betrayed him in their relationship.

Some fans pointed out that one of his most famous songs, “Cry Me A River,” was made to look like it was about Britney Spears cheating on him. In other words, fans were unhappy that Justin purportedly used a lie to market and promote his own career at the cost of Britney Spears’ reputation and public persona.
