Second dose of Covid vaccine to be administered from Feb 15, says Rajasthan Health Minister 

Rajasthan Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be administered from February 15.

Jaipur: Rajasthan Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that the action plan has been prepared for the vaccine to be administered next week. Under this, those beneficiaries who were given the first dose of coronavirus on January 16, will be administered the second dose. In addition to this, beneficiaries of the Social Justice and Empowerment and Agriculture departments will be administered the first dose of coronavirus vaccine.        

The health minister said that this week all those health workers and frontline workers will be vaccinated, who have not been administered the first dose of coronavirus vaccine. He said that a big vaccination session will be organised for such 8% health workers and 20% frontline workers. Vaccination can be done on 300-500 beneficiaries in this session site.  

The state health minister directed the officers to ensure vaccination of all the beneficiaries coming to the session site. He said that it should be ensured that the list of all HWC and frontline workers is ready by Tuesday. In regard to the paramilitary, he said that vaccination in the coming days will be done by making more session sites.   

Dr Sharma said that those beneficiaries, who were given the first dose of coronavirus vaccine on January 18, will be given the next dose on February 17. School teachers will be prominently included in this. Session site of a minimum of 150 beneficiaries will be made for this, in which target will be fixed to vaccinate at least 90 beneficiaries. He said that vaccination will be done on February 18.  

The health minister said that directions have been given to administer the first dose of coronavirus vaccine to all the remaining healthcare workers and frontline workers by February 19. He said vaccination of 300-400 beneficiaries will be done at all the sites. After this, only the second dose will be given at all the session site.
