BJP youth leader arrested with 100 gram cocaine in Kolkata

A BJP leader was arrested for allegedly possessing narcotic substance in West Bengal.

According to media reports, Pamela Goswami, a youth leader of the saffron party, was arrested for allegedly possessing cocaine. She, along with her friend Probir Kumar Dey, was inside her car in New Alipore area of Kolkata when they were arrested.

According to news agency ANI, both Goswami and Dey are BJP Yuva Morcha leaders. They had 100 gram cocaine in their possession.

The police were tipped off about Goswami. The cops had also observed her movements and had found that she would often stop her car at a particular location.

The police found the narcotic substance inside her bag and in the seat of her car.

The duo will be produced in a court on Saturday and the police will demand their custody. Further investigations are under way.
