Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are about to enter a "new era" with their new Netflix shows set to "improve their popularity", it has been claimed.

Earlier in the week it was revealed that the Sussexes are currently gearing up to work on two separate factual series with Netflix amid their multi-million-dollar deal with the streaming platform. One will be about the world of professional polo, while another will focus on gardening, cooking and lifestyle.

According to Deadline, the polo series will be shot "primarily at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, at The USPA National Polo Center", with the series set to explore the world of the sport, "which is known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene".

As well as a series about polo, there will also be another that celebrates "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship", headed up by Meghan Markle. The announcement of this lifestyle show comes shortly after the Duchess unveiled her new brand American Riviera Orchard, which is rumoured to sell home decor items and cooking condiments, among many more products.

And now a public relations guru has weighed in on the new upcoming Netflix shows. Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told us: "Meghan and Harry embarking on new TV ventures seems like a new era for the couple as they seem to moving away from their Royal connections and exploring their individual passions and the hope is that they will improve their brand and popularity."

Lynn noted how the shows will delve into each of their personalities, "which is a positive thing". She added: "Meghan’s new TV show is all about her passions and it feels like they’re making a TV series based on former blog The Tig. I believe it will be a very American-style show, and it will be interesting to see how it fares with viewers. I think it will do well as she does have a very loyal fan base."

She noted how she thinks that the show will provide viewers "with an insight into Meghan’s life", adding: "Although it may seem too polished because Megan is very conscious of her image. We will have to wait and see how her new show is received."

Then, touching on the polo-themed show, Lynn went on: "It's not surprising that Harry is making a series on the Polo world. He has been playing Polo since childhood and is a very talented player.

"Unless you move in those circles, not many people get a behind-the-scenes look at the Polo world, Harry is close with Nacho Figueras, who is known as the David of the Polo world and many other figures in the sport, so the access he will have for the series will be phenomenal and it is something he is very knowledgeable on and it will play to his strength. We only need to look at the success of the F1 series Drive to Survive to know these type of shows work."
