Meghan Markle experienced an 'awkward' moment when she appeared to move others away from Prince Harry at the recent Sentebale polo tournament.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen sharing a kiss at the charity event in Miami on Friday. Prior to their public display of affection, the couple was spotted walking hand-in-hand ahead of Harry's fundraising polo match in Florida, with a film crew following them.

The royal pair attended the Sentebale Polo Cup, an annual event held in support of Sentebale, a charity co-founded by Harry in 2006. At the event, Harry led the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Grand Champions Team, emerging victorious.

Meghan presented her husband with the trophy before they shared a kiss in front of the crowd. However, in screenshots published on The Mirror, it seems as if Meghan asked Dr Sophie Chandauka, chair of Sentebale, to stand at the centre of the group.

In a video clip making rounds online, Harry kept his arm around Meghan as she spoke to Dr Chandauka, as the royal appeared to manoeuvre around the stage in order to stand next to her husband for the photo opportunity.

The moment resulted in another lady having to duck under a trophy to find her place on stage. She then appeared to chat with the Duchess.

Social media users were quick to comment on the incident, with one writing on X: "They are both so awkward." Another added: "This is just so cringeworthy! ! ".

However, a different perspective was offered by someone who noted: "It was actually the other woman in the white dress asking. Lol, people make the biggest deals out of literally nothing."

Prince Harry's team triumphed with a 3-1 victory, and the Duke himself scored the first goal. The match was captured by Netflix cameras for an upcoming series about the Duke of Sussex, part of the couple's lucrative deal with the streaming service.

News broke this week that polo will be featured in a new Netflix series, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex serving as executive producers. The Sussexes are set to work on two factual series, including one delving into the world of professional polo.
