Prince Philip Gets Admitted To The Hospital After ‘Feeling Unwell’

According to new reports, Prince Philip has been ‘feeling unwell’ and so, he was hospitalized at King Edward VII Hospital in London. The 99 year old man is set to remain there for a few days for ‘observation and rest,’ as per Buckingham Palace.

Before this, Philip and his wife, Queen Elizabeth II had been quarantining at Windsor castle together amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for the official statement from the palace, it reads: ‘The Duke’s admission’s a precautionary measure, on the advice of the Royal Highness’ Doctor, after feeling unwell. The Duke’s expected to remain in the hospital for a few more days of observation and rest.’

At this point in time, the Palace did not share any more details about his health concerns.

In the meantime, Queen Elizabeth, 94, is set to remain at Windsor Castle while her husband is in the hospital being treated and recovering.

This comes after both royals received the COVID-19 vaccine last month, being among the very first few in the whole world to do so.

This would mean that Prince Philip is most likely not suffering from the virus and remains protected from it.

However, it’s known that the man has been struggling with a number of health problems in the last few years.

He was also admitted to the hospital back in December of 2019, the spokesperson at the time revealing that the reason was a ‘pre-existing condition.’

Earlier in that same year, he was also forced to surrender his driver’s license after being involved in a car accident.

Regardless, despite colliding with another car and getting his vehicle flipped over, Prince Philip walked away without a scratch.

Another sign that his health has been declining is that he hasn’t really attended certain ceremonies and events over the years along with the rest of the royal family.
