Anthony McPartlin, one half of the popular Geordie presenting duo Ant and Dec, has issued a warning to ITV1 viewers as they embark on what could be their final ever Saturday Night Takeaway.

The pair, who have been hosting the ITV variety programme for 22 years and 20 series, announced prior to this current run that this spring's series will be their last 'for now'. They've decided to give the show a 'rest', with no decision made about its potential return.

The duo plan to bid farewell in style with a two-hour special, which was kicked off by Craig David and guest announcers Girls Aloud. However, Ant had a cautionary note for viewers.

At the start of the episode, he told viewers: "It's going to be emotional," as he and Dec confirmed it is officially the final episode of the final series of before the show takes a break.

After the first commercial break, Ant welcomed viewers back to "welcome back to the last episode of your Saturday Night Takeaway'. Later, as Ring My Bell was announced, Ant said ".
