Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will grace our screens for the final time tonight (April 13) with an extended finale. The popular ITV show made its debut in 2002 and has been broadcasting for almost 20 years.

The presenting duo confirmed that their much-loved ITV series would be taking a break after its current 20th season, with the last show airing tonight. Ant and Dec previously said it seemed like the 'perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath'.

The pair have also said they are putting their popular programme on pause 'to spend some time' with their loved ones. Ant McPartlin, 48, married Anne-Marie Corbett, who has two teenage daughters from her previous relationship, in 2021 whilst Dec Donnelly, 48, shares two children, five-year-old daughter Isla and 18-month-old Jack, with his wife Ali Astall, whom he married in 2015.

The show previously endured a four-year hiatus between 2009 and 2013 - so no doubt fans will be hoping it returns at some point. Here's what time Saturday Night Takeaway airs tonight, as well as the star line-up helping to see the show out.

What time is the finale on?

During last week's penultimate episode, the Geordie entertainers revealed that Saturday Night Takeaway's finale will run for half an hour longer than normal. It's set to after the Grand National on ITV1 and ITVX, from 7 to 9pm.

As to be expected, Saturday night's finale is bursting with celebrity guests. Girls Aloud will be the Star Guest Announcers for the occasion, appearing ahead of their 30-date UK tour which starts in June. It's a full circle moment for Cheryl, Kimberley, Nicola and Nadine, who appeared on the show when it first began fresh from their Popstars: The Rivals win.

Takeaway regular Andi Peters will present his final SNT competition while Jordan North, Josie Gibson and Scarlett Moffatt will be out and about, springing surprises on unsuspecting members of the public.

There are a number of musical guests lined up too, including S Club, Tony Hadley and Kaiser Chiefs. Former Takeaway guest hosts, Scarlett Moffatt and Ashley Roberts, will also return.

Simon Cowell, Davina McCall, Rylan, Oti Mabuse, Amanda Holden, Dermot O'Leary, Craig David and Alison Hammond are also tipped to appear. Meanwhile show favourite Ring my Bell will return for one last time. There's also set to be a special montage of SNT’s best bits from the past 20 series as well as live surprises and an amazing End of the Show Show.

Saturday Night Takeaway might be ending, but it won't be long until Ant and Dec are back on our screens. The pair will be returning soon to front the new series of Britain's Got Talent.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway finale airs at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday April 13.
