‘Sooryavanshi’ Enters 100 Crore Club: Akshay’s Film Scores A Century At Worldwide Box Office

‘Sooryavanshi’ released on the big screens on November 5, 2021, after a long wait of 19 months.

New Delhi: There is a big news for all the fans of Akshay Kumar as Akki’s recent release ‘Sooryavanshi’ has reached the 100-crore club at the worldwide box office. Directed by the superstar director Rohit Shetty, this movie has scored a century at the fourth day of its release.

‘Sooryavanshi’ released on the big screens on November 5, 2021, after a long wait of 19 months. The film was earlier supposed to hit the screens on March 24, 2020, but the release got pushed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Sooryavanshi’ has been directed by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape Of Good Films, and also features Katrina Kaif in the female lead. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh also plays an extended cameo role in this cop-drama where they reprised their roles as Singham and Simmba respectively.

Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, will be seen illustrating the role of Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi. This is the fourth movie from Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. The movies directed by Rohit in this genre is so popular that Amitabh Bachchan also wants to be a part of it. Big B expressed his desire to work with Rohit Shetty when they appeared in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ for promoting ‘Sooryavanshi’ along with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Other than Akshay, Katrina, Ajay and Ranveer, ‘Sooryavanshi’ also features Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Jaaved Jaaferi in supporting roles.
