Manchester United have big problems at the moment. Coming into the season, many believed that they could end up challenging for the Premier League title after signing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton over the summer. It is safe to say that the start has not matched the expectations.

Manchester United have struggled in recent months, are already out of the League Cup and sit at sixth in the Premier League table. Naturally, questions have been raised about the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The club has stuck with Solskjaer till now and given him every chance to succeed as a manager at Old Trafford. But if things don’t improve quickly, then a change in the managerial hot seat might be inevitable.

But, the Norwegian’s future at Old Trafford seems secure for the time being. As reported by Sky Sports, Manchester United have no plans to replace Solskjaer despite the recent 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

Manchester United make decision regarding Solskjaer’s future

Manchester United have been linked with several managers like Zinedine Zidane, Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers, Erik ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick and others in recent weeks. But for the time being, it does not look like they are looking to make a change.

It is understandable why Manchester United might be reluctant to part ways with Solskjaer. Not only is he a club legend but has been the manager for nearly three years.

And he has assembled quite an impressive squad over that period of time. It would be difficult to bring in a new manager though, whose strengths would end up matching that of the current squad at Old Trafford.

Thus, it should not be a surprise that the club are giving Solskjaer every chance to turn things around and get Manchester United back on track. But if things don’t improve soon, they might have no other choice but to make a change.
