Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals his Manchester United future

by · Red Devil Armada

Manchester United have not made the start to the season that they would have expected, far from it. At this point of time, it looks like the club could struggle to finish in the top four if they don’t improve drastically moving forward. And naturally, questions have been asked about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future as the manager of the club.

After the 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool a couple of weeks back, it had looked like there was a big possibility that the Norwegian manager could be shown the exit door. The 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur and 2-2 draw against Atalanta must have lifted some of the pressure off of his shoulders.

But after the 2-0 defeat against Manchester City and the uninspiring performance as well, it is safe to say that the pressure is well and truly back on his shoulders once again and doubts will be raised about his future.

The manager does not believe that he is on borrowed time though. Journalist Shamoon Hafez tweeted out comments from Solskjaer:

Will Solskjaer remain the Manchester United manager?

That is certainly the big question now and a tricky one to answer. To be very honest, luck has not been on his side either.

Just when it had looked like he had found a system that could work with the three at the back against Tottenham Hotspur, Raphael Varane got injured in the very next game and is set to miss around a month of action. And there have been multiple other injuries throughout the squad.

In the past, Manchester United have shown that they are ready to stick with the Norwegian manager and give him every opportunity to succeed. But, if things don’t improve soon, the club might have very little choice other than to part ways with Solskjaer and make a change in the managerial hot seat.
