Jose Mourinho has been warned he could be facing a "real problem" in the Tottenham dressing room.

Spurs fell to their fifth defeat in their last six matches on Saturday as they were comfortably swept aside by league leaders Man City.

Mourinho even called on the services of Dele Alli and Gareth Bale off the bench to try and address his side's slump.

Both superstars have been used sparingly so far this season and appear to be out of favour with their manager.

And ex-Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour feels Mourinho may already have burned his bridges with the pair, which doesn't bode well for his standing amongst the rest of his squad.

"The dressing room is such an important area. The manager has got to keep everyone together, [make sure] everyone's going in the right direction," Parlour told talkSPORT.

"Has he lost a few people in the dressing room? Now, we don't know, but Dele Alli, the Gareth Bale situation is very strange. What's happened there?

"[Serge] Aurier, there's reports he's unhappy with him [Mourinho], he stormed off at half-time.

"These guys talk in the dressing room, I've been in dressing rooms and players talk with each other about how the manager is treating certain players.

"It might be totally wrong, but if there is a small crack there with the players then there's a real problem."

Pressure is beginning to mount on Mourinho, not just due to poor results, but also the manner of Tottenham's drab and uninspiring performances.

His treatment of Alli has been called into question, with Mourinho aiming several digs at the England ace over his form and attitude.

Mourinho has also been blamed for Gareth Bale's struggles, and Parlour feels he is walking a precarious tightrope, particularly in the modern game.

"Back in the day managers were probably the most important person. Now the players are. The players have got all the power," Parlour added.

"You don't get sacked as a player. You might really upset the manager but you don't get sacked.

"The manager is the one who gets sacked, and if you lose the dressing room, there's no chance for you."
