With Liverpool set to entertain cross-town rivals Everton at Anfield on Saturday evening, here is a look at combined Merseyside derby line-up.

The Reds have often gone into these encounters sitting well above the rivals in the standings, but the two sides are only separated by three points.

The clash at Goodison Park earlier this season produced some fireworks as the clash ended 2-2, although the Video Assistant Referee and Virgil van Dijk's injury made the headlines that day.

The league's top scorer Mohamed Salah will be eager to improve on his record against the Toffees, having scored twice in four games, which includes scoring in the reverse fixture.

At the other end, Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes a return to action to add to his 13 league goals for the campaign.

Both Salah and Calvert-Lewin - should he play - will be talisman for the Reds and Everton respectively on Saturday evening, although the visitors' record at Anfield does not make for good reading.

The Toffees' last win at Anfield dates back to 27 September 1999, with Kevin Campbell netting the game's only goal.
