OnePlus Nord 2 explodes yet again, User allegedly sustained severe burn injuries

A twitter users has claimed that an OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone has exploded inside the pocket of an user’s pants and caused severe burn injuries to the user’s thigh. The tweet also has some picture of the burnt Nord 2 smartphone along with the injury.
Responding to the tweet, OnePlus has replied that “We take such incidents seriously. Our team has already reached out to the user and we are in the process of collecting the details to investigate this further.”
The user who goes by the name Suhit Sharma, tweeted, “Never expected this from you #OnePlusNord2Blast see what your product have done. Please be prepared for the consequences. Stop playing with peoples life. Because of you that boy is suffering contact asap.”
He further also confirmed that onePlus has came in contact with him and posted a tweet that said, “OnePlus is in constant touch with us and R&D team is working on the case we are Co-operating with them to get this resolved asap.”
The picture shared by Suhit, shows that the alleged OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone have blasted from its left side. We don’t know the reason of the explosion. The left side of the phone is completely charred. The pictures also clearly shows severe burn injuries on the users thigh and the pocket of his pants is burnt in the inside. So, we can assume that the owner of the device must have kept the OnePlus Nord 2 inside his pocket when it allegedly exploded.
This will be the third incident where users have alleged that their OnePlus Nord 2 have exploded. OnePlus have always responded to these incidents and investigations were done by the company.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G specifications
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes in three RAM and storage configurations such as 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 12GB+256GB. The phone comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED punch hole display that supports 90Hz refresh rate and comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and Full HD+ resolution. The OnePlus smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor along with a secondary 8MP shooter and a tertiary 2MP sensor. It sports a 32MP selfie camera at the front. It comes with an-display fingerprint sensor and run OxygenOS 11.3 interface based on Android 11 operating system. The device has a 4,500mAh battery with WarpCharge 65 fast charging tech.
