Video: Derrick Lewis violently knocks out Curtis Blaydes in UFC Vegas 19 main event

The headliner UFC VEGAS 19 sure did deliver when the #4 ranked heavyweight, Derrick Lewis, pulled off a scary knockout on the #2 rated, Curtis Blaydes, in the second round. Blaydes had Lewis hurt in the first round, thanks to some sharp striking and constant pressure. The tide totally turned in the second round when a well timed uppercut met a shooting Blaydes, resulting in an instant loss of consciousness. The fight didn’t end there, as two more grizzly ground strikes were on their way to hitting their mark before the referee could step in and stop it. This is truly a horrific finish, and puts Lewis in a great spot when it comes to the UFC heavyweight title picture.

Round 2 - Lewis is warned for his fingers right away. Blaydes wth two big punches and he scoops a single. Lewis deftly defends though. Lewis slips again as he tries to plant his front leg. Blaydes goes for the legs AND IS KNOCKED OUT COLD BY A HUGE UPPERCUT FROM LEWIS! Lewis lands two more on the ground even though Blaydes was out before he even hit the floor. Wow.
