Ram Charan has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Vels, Chennai. The actor was also the chief guest at the university's graduation ceremony, that took place on April 13.

Ram Charan was officially bestowed with an honorary doctorate from a Chennai university. The post was captioned, "Thiru. Ram Charan, Indian actor, film producer, and entrepreneur, receiving an honorary Doctor of Literature degree from Vels University at their 14th Annual Convocation (sic)."

Earlier, the official account of Vels University on X posted, "Thiru Konidela Ram Charan is an Indian actor, producer, and entrepreneur who primarily works in Telugu cinema. We are excited to welcome the dynamic star to VISTAS for our 14th Annual Convocation and present him with an Honoris Causa award (sic)."

This prestigious acknowledgment places Charan in the esteemed company of individuals such as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and acclaimed director Shankar, who have previously received similar honours from the university. Alongside Charan, this year's recipients include Dr P Veeramuthuvel, Project Coordinator at Chandrayaan, ISRO, and various other esteemed people.

On the professional front, Charan is currently engrossed in his upcoming project, 'Game Changer.' Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Shankar, this film has generated immense anticipation. Produced by Dil Raju, 'Game Changer' stars Kiara Advani opposite Charan.

Additionally, Anjali, SJ Surya, Samudrakhani, Jayaram, Sunil, and Bollywood actor Harry Josh are also part of the ensemble cast. As the film enters its final stages of production, it is slated for release as a Dussehra treat for fans, promising to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.
