Amanda Holden has made a return to social media after Sharon Osbourne launched a scathing attack on the TV star following her comments about the former X Factor judge
by Ketsuda Phoutinane, https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/authors/ketsuda-phoutinane/, Lucy Needham · Daily RecordAmanda Holden has popped up on social media with a coy post following Sharon Osbourne's scathing message to her.
The spat between the TV personalities erupted when Amanda commented on Sharon and Louis Walsh's recent stint on Celebrity Big Brother. Sharon joked that her former boss Simon would "need more Botox" after she was done exposing him.
Amanda, who works with Simon on Britain's Got Talent, expressed her displeasure in remarks to the Mail Online. She branded the pair "bitter and pathetic" and owed their lavish lifestyles to Simon.
Amanda remarked: "I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon - he's the person who's given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn't have had. It's bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background - just stabby, stabby, stabby."
She bravely returned to social media today, sharing a paparazzi snap of herself coyly glancing over her shoulder as she entered the Heart FM studios earlier in the week. Dressed in a blue power suit and sunglasses, Amanda seemed to suggest she was keeping a vigilant eye as she responded on social media.
Never one to hold back, Sharon hit back hard upon hearing these comments. As reported by The Mirror, the TV personality took to social media to label Amanda as 'ill informed sycophantic' and 'crass and clueless'.
It follows Sharon open letter on social media which read: "Amanda, I am responding to your interview with the Daily Mail on April 12th, I respect the fact that you feel the need to defend your good friend and employer, Simon Cowell, who is also your husband's employer, or so I've read. However, a couple of your statements regarding myself are factually incorrect."
She listed her numerous accomplishments in the entertainment industry and accusing Amanda Holden of 'missing the point'. Sharon retorted: "No disrespect to Simon Cowell, but he NEEDED ME for musical credibility on X Factor and I delivered for him and together all of us made a great team."
"The truth is, you don't know me, Amanda or any of my close friends. You know nothing about my family history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows that I've produced and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. There are many countries that I could work in if I choose to, however, I don't have the ambition or time to do so."

Sharon then bragged: "Our worlds are totally different. I have been blessed with an amazing lifestyle throughout my entire life. Before you were born, I was living in a mansion in Beverly Hills and continue to do so today and continue to have my country estate in England as well. But there is something you should know. I never discuss money, lifestyle or positions of power. I find it to be classless and crude."
A spokesperson for Amanda said: "Amanda is aware of Sharon's incredible career but, just like her, Amanda will always defend those close to her."
Amanda also recently received backlash from fans for posting her daughter Lexi's bikini pictures. The radio host defended herself, saying she raises her daughters in a 'body positive' household and is happy that they are confident in their own skin.
Earlier this week, Holden caused a stir by posing nude in the Heart FM building for a life drawing class. She also shared a photo of herself with her parents and youngest daughter on a family day out, which sparked further controversy with fans.
