Amanda Holden brands Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh 'pathetic' in scathing defence of Simon Cowell
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden slammed Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh after they made 'bitter' comments about Simon Cowell on Celebrity Big Brother
by Zara Woodcock · The MirrorAmanda Holden slammed Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh for being 'bitter and pathetic' as she defended her pal Simon Cowell from their comments.
Sharon, 71, and Louis, 71, both worked with music mogul Simon on The X Factor. The TV duo reunited for the revived version of Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. They weren't shy about sharing their opinions on all the celebrities they worked with over the years.
During their stint on the show, they made fun of Simon's appearance and said he would 'need more Botox' when they finished sharing gossip about him to the country. Sharon claimed she wouldn't work with Simon again for "all the money in the world " while Louis claimed Simon makes everything "about him."
Amanda, who is a judge on Britain's Got Talent with Simon and has been friends with him for years, recently jumped to his defence and branded Sharon and Louis 'pathetic.' The 53-year-old radio star said: "I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon - he's the person who's given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn't have had."
"It's bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background - just stabby, stabby, stabby," she told MailOnline. In early March, Sharon claimed she missed out on doing The Masked Singer in the US because she had committed to a new series of The X Factor with Simon, which never went ahead.
Sharing what happened, she told Louis: "I missed a huge gig. That's why I was furious. I went mad when they told me and then he called me." In her angry rant, she said she wouldn't work with Simon again for "all the money in the world" and also made a swipe at her former friend for "wearing the same thing for three decades" as she fumed over what he had done to her career.
Louis already made comments about his former co-star in a pre-show interview for Celebrity Big Brother. When asked if he spoke to Simon before joining the show, he said: "No, it’s all about him. Simon lives in this bubble and it’s all about him. It’s fine. I accept that. That’s just the way he is.
"We spoke a few months ago, I just rang him to have a chat and he was the same as ever. I love him. I think the world of him, I really do. I know his faults. I know he’s not perfect. He wears stupid clothes, stupid haircuts, new faces ... his face has changed so much. He brings energy to a room, brings something, I don’t know what it is. It’s not like he’s Einstein or anything. But he’s good. He’s good with music and stuff."
