Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'basking in celebrity profile' as they beam beside one another

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised royal fans as they attended a charity polo match in Miami on Friday, and the couple puckered up for a passionate kiss after Harry’s team won

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “basking in celebrity profile” as they beamed beside one another at a recent charity polo match.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in attendance at the celebrity polo match to raise funds for Sentebale, the organisation Harry founded in 2006 that supports young people in Africa living with HIV. The 39-year-old’s team stormed to victory, and he was presented with the trophy by his wife, as the couple delighted onlookers with a passionate kiss in front of photographers.

They were also seen smiling walking hand in hand ahead of the polo match, and their day was captured by a camera crew from Netflix, who filmed the match for an upcoming miniseries about polo, with Harry and Meghan serving as executive producers. The series will give “unprecedented access to the world of professional polo” and the US Open Polo Championship in Florida, Netflix said in a statement.

Body language expert Judi James claimed Harry was in “peak confidence” at the charity polo match on Friday, and he and Meghan were in their element being the focus of attention. “With his puffed chest, wide stride and his polo WAG Meghan clutched in one hand and trailing slightly behind in her totally inappropriate killer heels, Harry looks like a man at peak confidence here, in full celebrity mood as he performs a very royal sporting ritual,” she told The Mirror.

“Polo has always been the place where royal males peacock, showing off their sexier, macho side in their tight white jodhpurs and leather boots as they gallop around on horseback. The WAGS normally also have a vital function which is called divot stomping when they spend the breaks treading down the muddy field with their feet, a chore that Meghan’s heels suggest she has no intention of participating in,” Judi added.

“The couple are clearly basking in the celebrity profile here though, with purring smiles and even a royal wave from Meghan as the cameras get to film every glorious moment. Is there also something of a message of reconciliation from Harry to his father Charles here?” the body language expert mused.

She also touched upon the couple’s upcoming Netflix shows, with one focusing on polo and the other on gardening and lifestyle. “If his two new Netflix ventures involve gardening and polo he is veering back into the family fold in terms of subject matter. Charles is a passionate gardener and was also a passionate polo-player, with both his sons inheriting the polo-playing bug and playing in many matches together and even sometimes with their father in some of their most bonding moments,” Judi explained.
