One family gathers to remember a tragic character who died 10 years ago on the show. Elsewhere, there's an extended episode, with a number of characters featuring.
One character tries to reach out to an estranged family member, while another resident finds herself tempted to reunite with an old flame. There's distressing scenes for Yolande Trueman, as the character is sexually assaulted by someone she trusts.
There's also the return of a familiar face, leading to a baby bombshell. Here are the biggest moments that are unfolding in Walford next week...
George Knight's son 'revealed'
George Knight's mysterious son will be introduced on EastEnders next week. Things have been tough for George (Colin Salmon) recently, after he found out his father Eddie Knight was responsible for his biological dad's death.
Eddie is up in court this week, whilst he has banished his mum Gloria from contacting him after learning of her support of Eddie. Next week on the BBC soap, George is forced to make a difficult phone call when he tells his estranged son Junior about the family news, but when he calls, he gets his voicemail. But might we finally meet Junior?
Baby bombshell
EastEnders will air a huge return next week - as one character returns to Walford. Jay has been busy practicing for the marathon with Honey, as they prepare to honour the memory of his late wife Lola. However, Jay is left shocked when he receives a message from Nadine telling him she needs to speak to him urgently.
He isn't keen to get back in contact with Nadine, who he grew closer to after the loss of his wife Lola. He confides in Gina next week, who tells him that he needs to find out what Nadine wants. He is hesitant about it but eventually decides to see her, where she drops the bombshell that she is pregnant with his baby. Jay doesn't know what to do and rushes off.
The next day, Jay continues to struggle with the news Nadine has given him. She's angry with him and explains to him he needs to not put his head in the sand, as she tells him why she decided not to tell him earlier.
Sexual assault horror
Yolande Trueman will be sexually assaulted in horrifying scenes on EastEnders next week. Pastor Clayton has been getting closer to Yolande, who considers him to be a good friend and confidante.
However, in heartbreaking scenes next week, the Pastor will target Yolande and sexually assault her. Viewers of the BBC soap will see Yolande struggle following the assault, as she thought she could trust the Pastor, and fans of the show will also see how it affects not only her and her life, but also her relationship with Patrick.
The scenes will air in an hour long episode on Wednesday April 17th, and will include flashback accounts of a number of women who have been sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton, and it is clear this is not his first offence.
Extended episode
EastEnders will air an hour-long episode of the BBC soap next week, and new spoilers have confirmed what fans can expect. It appears the episode has been extended due to sports coverage on the channel, as there is no episode airing on Thursday next week. Instead, amid fans speculating there's something big planned, an extended episode will air on Wednesday.
It's not known if the episode was planned to be this length ahead of the schedule change, or if it will air like two separate episodes. Judging by the spoilers, a key storyline will be the 10th anniversary of Lucy Beale's murder.
As the family gather together, Cindy struggles as she misremembers things and is reminded how much of Lucy's life she missed while she was away. She flees the gathering and seeks out her ex-husband George Knight in the Boxing Den - but will she be tempted amidst her grief?
