Missing Kansas moms may have been shot, pools of blood found near their car: report

The two Kansas moms who vanished last month may have been shot, and there were pools of blood found near their car, according to a report.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were reported missing when the car they were traveling in was found abandoned 1,000 feet off Oklahoma State Highway 95 on March 30.

A few weeks later, evidence supposedly indicated the pair was executed, and there were puddles of blood outside the car, sources told NewsNation.

Investigators have not confirmed those details, the outlet noted.

Butler and Kelley were acquaintances, those close to the women told police, NewsNation added.

At the time of their disappearance, they were traveling to Eva, Okla., to pick up Butler’s two young children.

Kelley supervised Butler’s visits with the children, who were living with their paternal grandmother, NewsNation reported.

Butler and the father of her children were in a bitter custody dispute, the outlet added.

Just 10 days before she and Kelley vanished, Butler filed a petition for more visitation with the kids.

She was also pursuing full custody, which created tension between her and the children’s paternal grandmother, court filings reportedly indicated.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is currently leading the search for the two women, NewsNation said.

The FBI has also reportedly designated resources for the investigation.
