There is one fashion trend that's breaking tradition at Ladies Day this year and Aintree racegoers have gone all out.
Every year, racegoers spend weeks, even months planning a show-stopping outfit complete with glamorous hair and makeup to finish it all off. This year has proved no different.
Yesterday, for the first day of the Grand National 2024, the bold new trend was women opting for suits instead of dresses and blazer style ensembles. With fashion trends changing year on year, the most eye-catching outfits seem to all have something in common.

And today, Ladies Day 2024, our reporters and photographers are live on the ground at Aintree and have spotted one fashion trend that's breaking tradition and standing out amongst the crowd. Today, many opted for oversized hats of all shapes, colours and sizes instead of the traditional fascinator - also pairing the accessory with bold, big sunglasses. A number of men also wore hats with their suits.
River Island has been announced as the official style partner of Ladies Day at the Randox Grand National Festival 2024. This year, the prize package for the Style Awards is worth £10,000 - which is double the amount of what it was worth last year and the 'Sustainable Style Award' is also a new category this year, which will see a £2,000 cash prize awarded to the most
Take a look at some of the best outfits we've spotted in our gallery below. We'll be following the Grand National Festival live across all three days.
