Kate Middleton and Prince William 'won't meet Harry' during UK visit for 'very personal reason'

Prince Harry is expected to be in the UK next month to attend the Invictus Games' 10th Anniversary Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 - however, there are currently no plans to meet up with Prince William

Prince Harry will be returning to the UK next month, but there are no plans to meet up with his older brother - for a "very personal reason".

The Duke of Sussex will be in London for the Invictus Games' 10th Anniversary Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. So far, there are limited details on his plans, including whether Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will join him on his visit. As well as that, there is no confirmation if Harry will be meeting any members of the Royal Family.

According to a source, Prince Harry will not be meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales. Currently, Kate Middleton is undergoing "preventative chemotherapy" for a cancer found following "major abdominal surgery" back in January. King Charles is also on chemotherapy after a form of cancer - the type was not made public - was found following a prostate-related procedure.

The source claims there are still "deliberations" over whether Meghan Markle and the children will join him on his latest visit. This is due to security concerns. In the source's view, if the children do travel to England, there could be a meeting set up "solely for the children's sake." However, it isn't something William or Kate are focusing on right now, as the Princess of Wales is undergoing treatment.

The source told OK! Magazine: "William and Kate are very consciously focusing on positivity and recovery. Harry is due in London early next month, but there are no plans as of yet to meet with him while he’s over. He’s reached out and sent best wishes, but a meeting might be a little premature."

After the Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world, Prince Harry and Meghan sent their well wishes in a statement. They said: "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."

While many hope for a whirlwind royal reunion, royal expert Jennie Bonds thinks that the "kindest" choice is that Meghan stays away from the UK for now. She said: "I think this is pretty unlikely that Meghan will join him at the service given Harry’s concerns about safety and the ongoing family tensions. I don’t think her presence would make any reconciliation moves easier. I think she would, rightly, be nervous about the reception she might get from any public gathered outside the cathedral."

The Invictus Games was launched in March 2017 to celebrate injured servicemen and woman, and there are talks for it to be launched in the UK again. The British government launched a £26million bid to host the games in Birmingham in 2027.
