2 drivers arrested in Baramulla for illegal transportation of minerals - Greater Kashmir
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirBaramulla, Apr 14: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police in Baramulla have seized 2 vehicles and arrested 2 drivers.
A police party under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO PS Kreeri seized two vehicles (tractors) and arrested two drivers at Kreeri Baramulla, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Mohd Ishfaq Waza, resident of Frasthar and Dawood Ahmad Wani, resident of Waripora.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been initiated.
“People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is a violation of government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law,” police said.
