Srinagar-Leh NH closed temporarily - Greater Kashmir

Ganderbal, Apr 14:  The Srinagar-Leh National Highway was on Sunday closed temporarily for vehicular movement due to slippery road conditions after fresh snowfall at Zoji La Pass, officials said.

A Police official said that the road had been closed keeping in view the bad weather and slippery condition of the road.

He said that after improvement in weather and road conditions, the traffic movement would be restored on the highway. The winter months of November 2023, December 2023, and January 2024 had not seen any major snowfall due to which Zojila Pass was open for light vehicles in January 2024.
