IED recovered, destroyed in Rajouri - Greater Kashmir

Rajouri, Apr 13: Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Jammu and Kashmir police alongwith Rajouri police recovered a mobile phone box based Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from Draj village of Budhal in Rajouri.

The explosive material has been destroyed by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of police at the site.

   

The recovery of this IED has been made during investigation of a case that has been registered at CID CI Jammu Police Station, also referred to as JIC Police Station, after recent raids in Rajouri district areas in which few arrests were made that include wife of arrested terror commander Talib Hussain Shah and his brother in law.

Officials told that during investigation of the case in Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) Jammu, some vital leads were recovered after which a team of CID CI Jammu assisted by SoG Rajouri carried out an operation in Draj upper reaches of Budhal in Rajouri.

During the operation, the officials said a mobile phone box based IED was recovered that was later destroyed at the site of recovery.
