We simulated Man City vs Luton Town to predict score for huge Premier League clash
Manchester City host Luton Town in the Premier League today so we simulated the clash to predict who could come out on top
by Lewis Barton · Manchester Evening NewsManchester City can go top of the Premier League later today with three points against relegation-battling Luton Town.
Defending the Treble remains a possibility for Manchester City this season, with Pep Guardiola's side drawing 3-3 away to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday. The second leg takes place on Wednesday but until then attention turns to the Premier League, where a title is there to be won.
City host Luton Town later today, where a win would move Guardiola's side top of the table, at least until Liverpool and Arsenal play tomorrow. The two sides have already met twice this season, with City winning 2-1 in the Premier League and 6-2 in the FA Cup.

We simulated Man City vs Luton Town to get a score prediction
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated both squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We predict that City could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Ederson; Lewis, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Nunes, De Bruyne; Bobb, Alvarez, Doku.
We predict that the Hatters could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Hashioka; Onyedinma, Clarck, Barkley, Doughty; Chong, Townsend; Morris.
Luton kicked off at the Etihad as City pressed high from the first whistle, and Julian Alvarez managed to block Reece Burke's long ball forward before slotting past the 'keeper to put City 1-0 up in the opening minute. It was the perfect start for Guardiola's side, and after just seven minutes, they found themselves two goals to the good.

As City camped around the Luton box, a one-two between Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol saw the latter break into the box before flicking the ball to Matheus Nunes in the middle. A smart turn from the midfielder opened up space for a shot, and despite his finish not being the best, the 'keeper couldn't react quickly enough as the ball rolled into the net to make it 2-0.
A great start was made even better in the 28th minute when Kevin De Bruyne picked out the darting run of Oscar Bobb with a delicious through ball, and the winger did well to round the 'keeper and tap into an empty net to grab City's third of the afternoon. De Bruyne was impressing once again, and the Belgian was presented with the chance to get on the scoresheet when City won a penalty just before the break.

A great piece of skill from Bobb saw the winger fouled inside the area, and he returned the favour to De Bruyne as the Belgian stepped up to the spot to fire home from 12 yards out. 4-0 up at half-time, you would be forgiven for thinking City would take their foot off the gas in the second half, but with goal difference potentially set to be a factor in the title race, Guardiola's side eventually scored a fifth.
Substitute Jack Grealish teased his marker down the left before quickly jolting past him, and the winger's driven cross into the box was flicked in at the near post by Alvarez to make it 5-0. With goal difference potentially set to be a factor in the relegation battle as well, Luton opted to shut up shop for the remainder of the game as City picked up an emphatic three points.
