Latest Chelsea injury news with 11 missing Everton amid Enzo Fernandez and Axel Disasi blow
Latest Chelsea news as three players join the injury list at Stamford Bridge to give Mauricio Pochettino a fresh selection headache
by Josh Holland · football.londonChelsea's injury problems have continued to increase ahead of Monday night's Premier League clash with Everton at Stamford Bridge after three new casualties were added to Mauricio Pochettino's list of absentees.
The story of the Argentine's first season at the club has constantly contained injuries and inconsistency on the pitch. After defeating Manchester United in a thriller last week, the Blues failed to defeat rock bottom Sheffield United three days later.
Next up for Chelsea is the visit of relegation-battling Everton on Monday night. The Toffees ended a torrid run without a win last weekend by beating Burnley 1-0 but they remain just two points above the bottom three after being docked two points for breaching FFP rules.
Unfortunately for Pochettino, he could face being without a whole XI for this weekend's game. On Friday it was confirmed that Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi and Enzo Fernandez joined the list of absentees, three players who have regularly played this season.
According to the club's weekly injury round-up, Sterling is 'absent due to illness' alongside goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Disasi and Fernandez are doubts due to knocks.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Pochettino admitted he was unsure if they would feature on Monday. "We'll see. They are under assessment," he said. "They have different types of issues. We don't believe they are big issues but we will see if they can be available.

"At the moment, they have not trained after Sheffield and that is why we don't know."
Despite facing being without three of his regular starters, Pochettino is set to welcome Ben Chilwell back to action. The left-back had missed the last two games due to illness but the update claimed he was back in 'partial team training'.
"Chilly is training, partial training today with the team, and see if he can be involved with the squad, on the bench for Monday," Pochettino added. "It's good news, but it's true what you say, he has not played too much this season."
Christopher Nkunku (hamstring), Levi Colwill (toe), Romeo Lavia (thigh), Reece James (hamstring), Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring) and Wesley Fofana(knee) all remain out and continue 'to undergo' their rehabilitation programmes.
