Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon has revealed that the team have done a lot of video sessions in Antonio Conte's first few days at the club.

Appointed in the hotseat on Tuesday following Nuno Espirito Santo's dismissal, it has been a busy period for the Italian and his coaching staff as they had limited training time to prepare for the Vitesse and Everton encounters.

Beating the Dutch side 3-2 and then later claiming a point at Goodison Park, Conte will have seen plenty of positives that his Spurs side can build on going forwards.

Already working his players extremely hard at Hotspur Way, Reguilon has given an insight into the 52-year-old's first few days in charge of the Lilywhites.

"The gaffer is special. He loves training hard but now we don’t have a lot of time to train on the things he wants on the pitch. We did a lot of meetings with videos this week," said the left-back.

"For us, it’s good. We don’t have a lot of time for work. Now we have a week of rest and training well under him. And when we come back from national teams, we start again and go in a good way."

Asked if Hotspur Way has been a happier place over the past week, the Spaniard added: "Yeah, and I think you can see on the pitch the team is more aggressive and more competitive.

"We believe in the things we’re working on in training. That’s the way. We have to learn too much under him. For me, it’s unbelievable."

Although Tottenham couldn't pick up all three points at Goodison Park on Sunday with the team failing to test Jordan Pickford, Reguilon has seen encouraging signs from the performance.

"I think the team was really, really strong. We’re going in a good way," explained the former Real Madrid man.

"This draw, I think in another moment of the season, was a game we would have lost. But the team was really good and competitive. This is the way."

The arrival of Conte in north London has seen the team switch to a 3-4-3 formation, a system he utilised during his two years at Chelsea.

That has subsequently seen Reguilon and Emerson Royal take on more attacking roles as they are now playing as wing-backs rather than full-backs.

A position that can certainly bring the best out of both players' attacking qualities, Reguilon likes his new role but is trying to get to grips with it at present.

"Yeah but I’ve never played five at the back before. I have to learn quickly," admitted the 24-year-old.

"I have to see many videos with the staff to do on the pitch what they want. I’m enjoying the position a lot because I can attack more but I have to run double!

"He [Conte] wants me to be solid in defence but at the same moment I have to arrive in the box, help the strikers, score goals, give assists.

"Now I have more of a chance to score goals and give assists, so let’s work."

A player he can certainly learn from, the Spurs man has also admitted that he has spoken to former Real Madrid teammate Achraf Hakimi about life under Conte as the PSG man played for the Italian at Inter Milan.

"I’ve watched a lot of videos of Chelsea and Inter Milan. I had a friend at Inter, Achraf Hakimi, and I spoke to him about the gaffer," he said.

"He told me I will improve a lot under him and I want to do that as soon as possible.

"He told me I will have to work really, really hard but I will improve a lot. In one week, I can already see that."
