Gabriel fit to start, Jesus decision made - Arsenal predicted XI vs Aston Villa

football.london takes a look at how the Gunners could line up in their Premier League clash with Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium on Sunday

Mikel Arteta has been very insistent that his focus is purely on Aston Villa. "Reflection done, Bayern done. Now it’s only Aston Villa," was his blunt verdict in his pre-match press conference.

Regardless of what he says though, the Spaniard will still have at least a slight eye on Wednesday's second leg. At the same time he'll be wary of the fact that he can't afford to drop points in the Premier League at all.

With Manchester City and Liverpool to play first though, he'll be wary of ceding any ground in the title race. Here football.london takes a look at who Arteta might pick.

Goalkeeper - David Raya

For the first time in a long time on Tuesday David Raya didn't look calm between the sticks at Arsenal. Taking him out of the team would create more of a story than it's worth at this point though.(Image: (Photo by Vincent Mignott/DeFodi Images via Getty Images))

Right back - Takehiro Tomiyasu

Ben White has started every single game since the international break. There's a strong chance he could do that between now and the end of the season. But if Mikel Arteta wants to rotate then now is the chance and Takehiro Tomiyasu is a great replacement.(Image: (Photo by Stephanie Meek - CameraSport via Getty Images))

Centre back - William Saliba

For the first time in months, William Saliba looked nervous against Bayern. He'll be glad to have the chance to put that behind him quickly against Villa.(Image: Marc Atkins/Getty Images)

Centre back - Gabriel

There was a slight injury concern about Gabriel going in to this weekend's match. The Brazilian did take part in training on Friday though and should hopefully be fine to start.

Left back - Jakub Kiwior

After his second half showing against Bayern, you can fully expect Oleksandr Zinchenko to start in Munich. The chances of him starting twice in such quick succession though feels slimmer. Don't be surprised to see Kiwior keep his place.

Defensive midfield - Thomas Partey

The Ghanaian could have had a match winning assist against Bayern. It's unlikely that Jorginho will start three games in a row, so expect Partey to be given the nod here.(Image: Photo by Sebastian Frej/MB Media/Getty Images)

Central midfield - Declan Rice

It was a tough game for Rice against Bayern until he was dropped into the deeper role. He's looked good further forward in the Premier League though so expect him to stay their against Villa.

Central midfield - Martin Odegaard

Right wing - Bukayo Saka

Arteta says that Saka has calmed down from his penalty shout in the dying seconds against Bayern. He'll have a big role to play from the start.(Image: (David Price/Arsenal FC via Getty Images))

Centre forward - Kai Havertz

After all the chat about how good Havertz has been at centre forward recently, it was amusing to see him end up back in midfield towards the end against Bayern. The German is versatile though and should continue up top.

Left wing - Leandro Trossard
