Jamahal Hill reacts to crushing knockout loss at UFC 300: ‘For anyone who cares, I’m good’

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - “Sweet Dreams” appears to be handling his devastating (and super quick) knockout loss well.

Jamahal Hill’s highly-anticipated return to active competition was spoiled at UFC 300 last night (Sat., April 13, 2024) by Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, who put down “Sweet Dreams” for an early nap thanks to a knuckled-up, nasty left hook from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (watch highlights).

Minutes after the crushing defeat, Hill issued a health update (no, not this one) via social media.

“Oh well, that’s the game we play,” Hill said. “I got caught. For anyone that cares, I’m good. I’m well. We’re still doing our thing tonight, you know where we’re at — we’re over at Hakkasan. Yeah, man. We’re just built to come right back.

While it was clearly a devastating outcome, it was actually a low-key win because “Sweet Dreams” returned from a torn Achilles in only nine months — a crazy timeframe for a professional combat sports athlete.

Perhaps it was even too soon.

Nevertheless, Hill, 32, had his four-fight win streak snapped in “Sin City,” suffering his second-ever stoppage loss.
