LIVERPOOL : I Am Maximus, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Paul Townend won the Grand National steeplechase at Aintree on Saturday.
The front of the field was still bunched over the last of the 30 fences, but 7-1 joint favourite I Am Maximus powered away to win by a distance.
