Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester City will only drop two more points before the end of the season, crowing Pep Guardiola's side Premier League champions for a fourth successive campaign.

With Jurgen Klopp set to leave Liverpool in the summer, he'll be determined to bow out with more than just a Carabao Cup winner's medal. The Reds have only won the English top flight once during the German's nine-year reign, lifting the trophy in front of an empty Anfield during the pandemic.

Liverpool have, however, come close to snatching Manchester City's crown on numerous occasions, in addition to winning the Champions League and two League Cups. Recently, the Reds have faced fresh competition from Arsenal in the title race, with the Gunners claiming second place last term.

The three clubs now look set to take the Premier League season down to the wire – and Ferdinand has backed Guardiola to rain on Klopp's parade. Speaking on TNT Sports, the former Manchester United defender and Laura Woods predicted the result of every remaining game for Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal. Ferdinand believes the reigning champions will win all but one of their final six fixtures, topping the table with 89 points.

The 45-year-old tipped Liverpool and Arsenal to end the season on 86 points, and with the Gunners boasting a superior goal difference, Mikel Arteta's side claimed second place. Ferdinand believes the Reds will be held to draws by Fulham, Everton, and Aston Villa.

"This is where I think it gets sticky for Liverpool—three away games on the bounce," he said. "Tottenham can decide this whole run-in. They’re playing all three teams. They have a big say, Spurs."

He has, however, tipped Liverpool to storm past Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves. As for Arsenal, the former Manchester United defender believes they will suffer defeats to the Red Devils and their north London rivals but cruise past Chelsea.
